ZSKSS is:
- a voluntary, non-governmental and non-profitable organization,
- working towards the non-institutional education of children and youth,
- one of the largest and most influential youth organizations in Slovenia, it has more than 4500 members in 72 established units all over the country, and is still growing stronger,
- a member of WAGGGS (World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts).
